THE ROLE OF MEDIA IN WAR CRIMES must be examined

Belgrade, December 3, 2011. (Politika) - War crimes prosecutor Vladimir Vukcevic said yesterday that the responsibility of the media in reporting on war crimes must be fully investigated.

"No director and no editor has been suited for their responsibility in this area. As the prosecutor for war crimes, I see my duty in ensuring that images of the past never happen again", Vukcevic said at the meeting "Words and misdeeds", dedicated to the presentation of the study on the role of media in encouraging war crimes in Serbia 1991-1992.
