SEEMO: STRONG PRESSURE ON JOURNALISTS

Vienna, January 6, 2012 (Danas) - Vienna-based media organization of South-East Europe SEEMO has recorded 684 cases of violation of press freedom in the region, including taking into custody, physical attacks, political pressures and threats, attempts of murder and bomb attacks on journalists.

As stated by this media organization, the violation of press freedom has been recorded in Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Slovenia, Albania, Belarus, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Turkey and Ukraine.
