RBA TAKING STEPS ABOUT TV AVALA

Belgrade, January 10, 2012 (B92) - After 20 days of strike of TV Avala employees due to unpaid wages, the Republic Broadcasting Agency uttered to take measures within its competence regarding this matter.

The RBA announced that the issue would soon be discussed with representatives of TV Avala owners - Greenberg Invest from Austria and Danko Djunic, Zeljko Mitrovic and Institute of Economy.

Representative of TV Avala employees in strike, Nikola Vukomanovic said that they had also been invited to the meeting with RBA.

He also said that the claims that the employees had reached an agreement with owners at the single meeting held with them were untrue, as the owners had not come out with any solution.

"The RBA told us that we would have the chance today to explain our side of the story of what is happening on the station, since they have already been informed by the general manager Bojana Lekic", Vukomanovic said.
