RBA: MORE CAUTIOUS CONDUCT OF BROADCATERS AND PARTIES IN CAMPAIGNING

Belgrade, March 19, 2012 (Politika) - New binding instructions of the Republic Broadcasting Agency (RBA) on political campaign in electronic media have produced the first results - more cautious conduct of broadcasters and political parties. Some TV and radio stations have already been warned by the RBA, which has announced more strict control, according to Tanjug.

"It is obvious that broadcasters and participants in the election are acting more carefully than before. The rules are new, so many dilemmas are common. We have started the control from the very first day and during this time, we have noticed various irregularities. However, we are just giving warnings to the broadcasters for now, without concrete penalties", member of the RBA Council Goran Pekovic told Tanjug.
