Belgrade, March 31, 2012 (Politika) - The Serbian government approved interest-free loan of 17.5 million RSD to the state news agency Tanjug for the reporting on the election campaign and the Election Day on May 6th.

The government approved the loan on Thursday, at the same meeting at which it adopted austerity measures that would make budget savings of 15.7 billion RSD.

The loan was approved three days after the agency Tanjug had requested. According to the contract, the loan repayment deadline is December 31st.
