The truth on journalists' murders hidden in archives

Unresolved murders of journalists in Serbia - topic for the European Union

Belgrade, April 10, 2012. (Danas) - According to the lawyer Rajko Danilovic, the case of the three unresolved murders of journalists in Serbia - Dada Vujasinovic, Slavko Curuvija and Milan Pantic, has not been resolved due to the lack of political will.

When it comes to the murder of Slavko Curuvija, everything is clear, the perpetrators and the principals and the only thing left is to open the archives of Serbian State Security, which requires political will - says Danilović who represents Jovo Curuvija, brother of the murdered Slavko Curuvija.

According Danilovic, it is possible that the archives would be open in response to the pressure of the European Union, at least when it comes to unresolved murders. This is a reason why Jovo Curuvija recently sent a letter requesting assistance from the Jelko Kacin, the European Parliament Rapporteur on Serbia.
