VAC WANTS 4.7 MILLION EUROS

Belgrade, April 11, 2012 (Danas) - German media house VAC has offered to Politika AD its share in the joint company "Politika newspapers and magazines", it was confirmed to daily Danas by the Chairwoman of the Politika AD Managing Board, Sonja Liht.

"Since the decision is not under the competence of the Managing Board, we have forwarded the offer to the Assembly of shareholders and majority owner", Liht said.

According to her, VAC has offered to sell its 50 percent of shares in "Politika newspapers and magazines" for 4.7 million Euros plus taking care of certain financial dues that were not specified in the offer. Shares of Politika AD are in trade on Belgrade stock exchange, however, this information is not among the trade news relating to this media.

The Assembly of Politika AD shareholders was planned for April 17, scheduled before VAC offer was made.
