Media strategy for the new Government

Belgrade, May 7, 2012. (FoNet) - We expect the new Serbian government to consistently apply the provisions of the Strategy, especially the provisions on the withdrawal of state ownership in the media and to define its role in the media sector - was a public message of representatives of media association during the debate organized within the Election Night in the Media Center.

President of ANEM, Sasa Mirkovic, said that the media coalition has no official information from the Ministry of Culture that drafting the Law on Public Information and the Law on  Regional Public Services has begun, and that regarding this journalists' and media associations have not been contacted. Mirkovic said he hoped that after the forming of new government there would be no reasons for the physical protection of journalists.
