Ilic TO PAY FOR ATTACK ON JOURNALIST

Novi Sad, May 9, 2012. (Blic) - According to the verdict of the Novi Sad High Court, the leader of New Serbia Velimir Ilic is obliged to pay one million dinars and 380 000 for non-pecuniary damages to Vladimir Jesic, former TV journalist of TV Apolo.

The incident occurred when Jesic asked Ilic about his family connection with Strahinja Ilic. Although the verdict had been brought in 2006, Ilic appealed against it three years later and the  trial was repeated. The first instance proceeding against Ilic was completed in early April this year in Novi Sad.
