MEDIA PUNISHED FOR PUBLISHING INFORMATION ON VERDICT
Novi Sad, July 13, 2012. (Danas) - Novi Sad based media, Radio 021 and Dnevnik, and their editors in chief have been sentenced to pay compensation of damages for breach of honor and reputation after they had published the information on the judgment against two men for criminal offence of extortion.
The article incorrectly stated that the case was related to the extortion case in 2007, while it related to the case from 2009.
The media are obliged to pay the compensation to Goran Urosevic from Novi Sad (44), who is currently serving a prison sentence in Pozarevac.
