New owner of Politika traceless

Belgrade, August 9, 2012 (Danas) - Commission for Protection of Competition has not  been contacted yet by the new owner of Politika (PNM), East Media Group Moscow, for the purpose of reporting on the ownership concentration. According to the Commission, the only important question is whether the co-owner took control over the company. If control has not been taken yet, the issue of reporting ownership concentration is not relevant for the Commission.

According to the Commission's data obtained from Politika, representatives of the East Media Group have not come to the company yet. However, the law firm representing the buyer did appear. The Commission, however, found that for making any business decisions in the PNM, signatures of two directors is required, so that it would be a case of exercising control over the firm and sufficient reason for continued interest of the Commission.

According to official data relating to PNM, the representative of the firm is its general director Mira Glisic Simic, but "representing the company and taking legal actions are limited by the signature of another director" both in domestic and in foreign trade.

According to the data of the Business Registers Agency, Deputy Managing Director and co-signer is Goran Ilin. He is registered as a representative of the company on January 17th this year, when he replaced Max Sebastian Winterfeldt. According to the registration, Goran Ilin is from Kula. According to Politika AD, Ilin was delegated to the post by Wac.

On July 16, East Media Group from Moscow registered in the Serbian Business Registers Agency, as a co-owner, instead of the German company WAC and its Austrian daughter company Ost Holding.
