CHARGES FILED FOR ATTACK ON TV SABAC CREW

Sabac, August 28, 2012 (Politika) - The Sabac Police released the statement yesterday that it had filed criminal offense charges for disturbing public order and peace against 35-year-old R.K. from Prnjavor, who had attacked journalist Marija Damnjanovic and cameraman Zoran Milutinovic, from the regional TV Sabac, on Local Olympic Games of the City of Sabac on Sunday.

According to the police, R.K. verbally attacked Damnjanovic and Milutinovic in the yard of the primary school "Kralj Aleksandar Karadjordjevic". As Milutinovic warned him of the gesture being out of place, R.K. physically attacked him by grabbing him by the jaw. When Marijanovic tried to stop the incident, R.K. hit her in the neck area, says in the police statement.

Journalists' associations condemned the attack.
