MEDIA CONTROLLED THROUGH THEIR FINANCES

Belgrade, September 5, 2012 (Informer) - There is a "latent censorship" of media in Serbia, exercised through the control of financial endurance of media and journalists, it was noted today in the published report of the Bureau for social researches (BIRODI) titled "Media in 2012 Elections".

The BIRODI analyst Zoran Gavrilovic assessed that media in Serbia had become mere tool for economic and political promotion, due to commercial dependence on someone practicing informing, analysis and control over the authorities.
