TV SIGNAL AFTER FIVE YEARS

Bosilegrad, August 16, 2012 (Danas) - Residents of the municipality close to Bulgarian border have finally got their local TV that has started its test broadcasting of program in line with the decision of the Republic Broadcasting Agency (RBA). The program is broadcast on 61st channel, while the TV will be operating within the public company Center for Culture.

TV Bosilegrad won the local broadcasting licence at the RBA competition back in 2007, but, due to insufficient financial means, it has started broadcasting five years later.

Municipality President Vladimir Zaharijev says that, despite the small number of citizens, Bosilegrad has the need for timely information. In that sense, he expects the necessary assisstance and cooperation with local and regional TV stations in Pcinja region. After Vranje with three, Bujanovac and Presevo with two TV stations, TV Bosilegrad is the eight local TV in Pcinja region. The RBA has however warned that there are three illegal broadcasters operating on the territory of seven municipalities of this district and announced taking appropriate measures for their closing.
