KARADZIC: OWNERS OF MEDIA MUST BE KNOWN TO PUBLIC

Belgrade, September 7, 2012 (Politika) - It is of utmost importance to reveal the name of new owner whenever the ownership structure of an electronic media is changed, as neither an individual nor a company can participate in ownership of two or more TV or radio, says the Deputy Chairman of the RBA Council Goran Karadzic.

Karadzic pointed out that the name of the television could be changed, like in the case of TV Fox being renamed to TV Prva, or TV Kosava to TV Hepi. In that sense, changing the name of TV Avala to TV Narodna would not be a problem if other conditions are met.

Although the CEO of "Grand Production" Sasa Popovic and another two credible sources of the daily Politika have unmistakenly confirmed that the Company "Biohemija" is negotiating together with "Grand Production" to buy TV Avala, PR manager of the Business System "Beohemija" Sanja Rajkovic Jovanovic claims the opposite. In the denial sent to Politika, signed by General Manager of "Beohemija" Zeljko Zunic, it was specified that this company was not buying TV Avala at all.
