TADIC WANTS KOLAREVIC’S DISMISSAL

Belgrade, September 6, 2012 (Dnevnik) - President of the Democratic Party Boris Tadic reseased a public statement yesterday asking the dismissal of the Deputy Culture Minister Dragan Kolarevic over his lobbying for revolution of culture politics in the article "It is time for the first Serbian cultural uprising". Tadic warned that it was an indicator of a severe intention to pinpoint individuals with the aim of denying fundamental right to freedom of opinion and political choice.

"Compiling lists of ‘holders and executors of a destructive anti-Serbian politics' with full names of eminent cultural figures is just scandalous, uncivilized act that was seen in the history in the Nazi era. This call to uprising against those who do not share his opinion and discriminatorily labelling citizens who have different political views is an act that deserves the strongest condemnation in the civilized world", the DS leader said.

At the end of the statement, Tadic noted that Kolarevic, "who was one of the leaders of the propaganda machinery of non-democratic regime during Milosevic", ought to be dismissed immediately.
