Protest of Radio Boom 93

Pozarevac, October 19, 2012. (Danas) - Pozarevac-based Radio "Boom 93" stopped reporting on activities of local government, in protest of the unfair distribution of the city funds intended for the financing of local media. In the opinion of the editorial board of the radio, the budget funds are allocated to favored media without clear and transparent criteria. It led to extremely difficult financial situation of TV 012, weekly "Okrug", magazine "Nova rec" and Hit Radio. All these media outlets believe that allocating funds only to certain media (TV Sat and Duga, Radio Pozarevac and "Rec naroda" weekly) is unfair. If the situation with allocation of budget funds intended for the local media is not solved, these media outlets will start the protest and stop reporting on the work of local government.
