Vranje, October 31, 2012 (Beta, B92) - Vranje Police Administration Spokesman Dragan Stamenković has said that a bomb was removed from B92 TV reporter Tanja Janković's front yard on Tuesday night.

He said that the investigation at the scene was partially over and that the police had determined that a hand grenade had been found in the front yard of Janković's family home.

According to Stamenković, the bomb was removed last night and tests will determine whether it is functional.

The police said yesterday that the discovered object that looked like a bomb but that they could not say whether it was a real bomb or the one used for training.

The bomb was found by the family's dog in the front yard around 12:30 CET on Tuesday. B92 reporter's mother Jelena Janković called the police.

Janković's parents Jelena and Zoran were attacked at a wedding in September. According to them, they were physically attacked by a Vranje police inspector for no reason.

Independent Journalists' Association of Serbia (NUNS) has called on the authorities to immediately launch an investigation into the bomb found in the B92 journalist's yard.

"We expect the Interior Ministry to inform the public as soon as possible about all the details regarding the case," reads NUNS' release.

NUNS also insists that the police reveal all relevant facts about the incident when Janković's parents were attacked at a local hotel on September 22.
