PINK 2 instead of Avala

Belgrade, November 5, 2012. (Politika) - Instead of the program of TV Avala, users of the cable operators' services now could watch the programs of the new - Pink 2. Given that TV Avala TV lost the broadcasting license ten days ago, we asked Goran Karadzic, RBA Vice President, for an explanation.

- It is a cable channel. Pink has a license for about twenty such programs, including this one. So, no one took the frequency that belonged to Avala - Karadzic explained, adding that this regulatory body has not been informed about termination of broadcasting of TV Avala program. Besides, RBA did not receive the broadcaster's complaint over the RBA's decision to revoke the license.

According to Jovana Lukic, Director of Communications of the cable operator SBB, there is a common practice in case one TV station loses license - then another station is granted its "place" in the cable offer.
