SERBIA DEDICATED TO FREEDOM OF MEDIA

Belgrade, November 9, 2012 (Danas) - Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic said yesterday at the meeting with the President of the European Federation of Journalists Arne König that Serbia was dedicated to improving of the media freedom and defining of straightforward media strategy.

The Government's endeavor is to ensure dialogue with media associations and unions of journalists in order to improve the position of media professionals, said Dacic.

The Prime Minister also pointed out the Serbian Government's interest in working on the improvement of the position of journalists in Serbia together with the EFJ, an organization with around 310.000 members in 40 countries.
