B92 wins five Press Vitez awards

Novi Sad, November 13, 2012 (B92) - B92 reporters Slavko Beleslin, Katarina Lazarević, Bratislav Ilić and Predrag Stojković and Editor in Chief Veran Matić have won Press Vitez festival awards.

Beleslin and Pink TV's Radomir Počuča won Press the Vitez Miloje Mića Orlović 2012 Award, while B92's weathercaster Lazarević won the memorial Press Vitez Kalanj 2012 Award.

Matić won the Press Vitez Lifetime Achievement Award.

Beleslin was awarded as a journalist of high professional standards who has shown over the course of years working in news programs in Serbian electronic media that it is possible to combine the art of speech and good diction with the good knowledge of the news, said judges.

According to the judges, Lazarević is a young reporter who brings "imagination and originality in weather forecasts, making every forecast a special story that brings smile to people's faces". She won the award as a "talented and unique reporter who represents a true refreshment in programs of the domestic TV stations".

B92 correspondent from Leskovac Bratislav Ilić won the silver medal in the news program category and B92 correspondent from Požega Predrag Stojković won a special award for video journalism.

Matić won the Press Vitez Lifetime Achievement Award for his great contribution to the development of television and investigative reporting in Serbia.

Aside from B92 reporters, journalists from a number of media outlets, including RTS, Montenegro's TV Crne Gore, Bosnia's TV BN, and others won this year's Press Vitez awards.
