Print edition of Belgrade tabloid Press shuts down

Belgrade, November 15, 2012 (B92, Beta) - The print version of the Belgrade-based Press tabloid will no longer be published as of Friday, it has been confirmed on Thursday.

However, its internet edition will continue to be published, as well as the version for the Serb Republic (RS), Beta has reported.

The weekly Nedeljnik will also be published in the future - in other words, all editions that are legally separate from the printed daily that had accumulated debts.

The Press employees "gave the owners a month to pay their overdue salaries and said they would otherwise protest in front of the Delta (Holding) building", the news agency reported.

Delta Holding owner Miroslav Mišković earlier this week revealed that he had the largest individual stake in the newspaper, and that he had decided to withdraw from its ownership structure.
