Kolor Pres freezes membership in Association of Media

Belgrade, November 15, 2012 (Blic) - Kolor Pres Publishing Group, one of the founders of ASMEDI, has put its membership in this media organization, as it is reluctant to participate in quarrels and conflicts that have been shaking the media scene in Serbia for weeks and in which the association has been envolved, said Robert Coban, the president of the Group.

Kolor Pres Publishing Group is one of the largest publisher of magazines in the Balkans with 77 print editions, 9 internet portals and companies in all 6 countries in the region. The Group celebrates its 20^th anniversary this year and is one of the few publishing companies in Serbia that have met all four requirements of transparent operations: transparency of ownership, transparency of circulation through ABC audit, transparency of sources of financing and regular payment of all taxes, social fees and salaries, it is said in the statement.

The Group has decided to freeze its membership in ASMEDI for the period of two months, until the expiry of their membership in 2012, when the Managing Board will decide upon its further extension of membership or complete withdrawal from this media organization.
