Dinkic: amendment for deletion of the word ‘information’ submitted to the Parliament

Belgrade, December 6, 2012. (Blic) - Minister of Finance and Economy, Mladjan Dinkic, said that he sent to the competent parliamentary committee an amendment to the Bill on Public Enterprises, by which the Bill is harmonized with the Media Strategy.

Dinkic said on his twitter that the amendment to the Bill was proposed and that it was related to the deletion of the article providing the possibility of establishing public companies in the field of public information.

Article 2 of the proposed law provides for the possibility of establishing public enterprises in the field of information which, in the opinion of the representatives of media organizations and associations, is contrary to the Media Strategy, violates freedom of expression and increased the state influence in the media.

"There's no reason for concern. We've already sent to the parliamentary committee the proposed amendment for deletion of the word 'information' in the said Article, in order to avoid any confusion ..."said Dinkic on his Twitter account to Vukasin Obradovic, NUNS President.
