Procedure of the Constitutional Court following the initiative of ANEM

Belgrade, December 13, 2012. (Dnevnik) - The Constitutional Court launched yesterday the procedure for assessing the constitutionality of the law provision according to which the state "may establish special radio and television stations broadcasting programs in minority languages."

The procedure was initiated on the basis of the last year's initiative of the Association of Independent Electronic Media, it was said in the court. The website of the Constitutional Court specifies that the following procedure was initiated: procedure for assessing the constitutionality of Article 17, paragraph 2 of the Law on Protection of Rights and Freedoms of National Minorities, in the part that says: "The state...may establish special radio and TV stations to broadcast programs in the languages ​​of national minorities."
