DJILAS LOWERED DAMAGE CLAIM TO ONE MILLION RSD

Belgrade, January 27, 2013 (Politika) - The Belgrade Mayor and President of the Democratic Party (DS) Dragan Djilas announced yesterday, in an open letter to UNS President Ljiljana Smajlovic, to have decided to lower the clam for compensation of damages from the daily "Kurir" down to one million dinars, instead of initial 120-billion claim.

"This is an ordinary amount of damage clams in Serbian practice when a media is being sued. The previous amount claimed for compensation of damages was the same amount I had been accused of possessing and just my trying to point out the absurd claims in the media reports and media hunt against me", the leader of the Democrats said.
