RBA: NOT TO AIR THE SHOW WITH PRIME MINISTER

Belgrade, February 1, 2013 (Danas) - Republic Broadcasting Agency (RBA) has recommended to all broadcasters to refrain from broadcasting the show "Nemoguca misija" (Mission Impossible) with Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic caught on candid camera.

The RBA advised the broadcasters that airing the show would not be in line with the Broadcasting Law and Broadcasters' Code of Conduct, and it would present the grounds for legal proceedings.

"The RBA has rarely the chance to react in advance, , as the broadcasters are not legaly obliged to submit their program contents to the regulator for viewing before a program is aired. In this case, the RBA Council has been familiarized, this time on the Internet and in print media, with only one segment of the program and the way in which the above program was recorded. Only because of these findings and information, the RBA was able to make a decision at its yesterday's session not to allow the broadcasting of this show", the regulator stated.
