NO MONEY FOR PUBLIC SERVICE

Belgrade, February 7, 2013 (B92, Tanjug) - Finace Minister Mladjan Dinkic said that the state did not have 100 million Euros to give to RTS and suggested that anyone could run a TV station with this kind of money.

Following the meeting with representatives of IT companies, Dinkic commented the statement of the RTS General Manager Aleksandar Tijanic that the public service needed one hundred million euros for functioning, saying that Tijanic was "exaggerating".

Two days ago, the Government of Serbia approved the loan worth of 1.8 million Euros to the public service broadcasting institution RTS.
