UNACCEPTABLE PRESSURE ON RTV
Belgrade, March 10, 2013. (Blic) - The existing legal framework guarantees the editorial political independence of both public service broadcasting institutions. Political influence on their editorial policy is unacceptable, says Dragana Solomon, Head of the Media Department of the OSCE Mission to Serbia regarding the statement of Dusan Bajatovic, SPS Vice-President, that the editorial team if RTV is subordinate to the Democratic Party.
She adds that if any citizen has objections to the operation of RTS and RTV, then these objections should be forwarded to their governing boards. Journalists' associations, NUNS and UNS gave their support to RTV.
