MANTER BRINGS CNN TO SERBIA

Belgrade, March 22, 2013 (Politika) - The reason why Cameron Manter has been engaged is to secure frequences for CNN and speed up liberalization of the market of terrestrial telephony, in which SBB operator has considerable interest.

Involvement of Cameron Manter in SBB is aimed to bring CNN to the Balkans and open regional television station, Politika reported.

Belgrade, Zagreb and Sarajevo will be separate TV centers, while other countries will follow the same program with smaller regional differences.

No one can confirm that the former US Ambassador in Belgrade has been appointed senior advisor to the board of directors of SBB - Telemax group - to help speeding up the accomplishment of these goals. However, there is an evident interest in the American CNN to get the national frequency in our country, and on the other hand, SBB has indeed problems with land telephony.

SBB has not confirmed this, but has confirmed the appointment of Mr. Manter to the position of senior advisor to the board of directors of SBB - Telemax company - as of January this year.

"Mr. Manter has extensive business experience in this region. He was a diplomat in Serbia and neighboring countries, and together with other senior advisors to the board of directors, Manter is providing advices in relation to the SBB activities - Telemax group in the former Yugoslav countries", says Jovana Lukic, director of corporate communications at SBB.
