PISTALJKA EQUIPMENT AND FILES STOLEN

Belgrade, April 19, 2013 (UNS) - Around 6 p.m. yesterday, in the parking lot of the Delta City Shopping Center in Belgrade, unidentified persons broke in a vehicle of the chief editor of anti-corruption portal Pistaljka Vladimir Radomirovic and stole two laptops and a handbag containing the documentation of the owner of the portal.

Radomirovic told the Journalists' Association of Serbia (UNS) that he had been away for only half an hour with his wife. When he returned to the car, which was parked in the clear sight, he found the car with the open passenger door. The fact that there were no visible marks of forced entry proves that the burglar was obviously a professional.

Pistaljka is the leading anti-corruption website in Serbia and is recognized in the entire region. This portal has made a number of discoveries, such as the one that Dragan Sutanovac was behind the construction of a building on a site worth 1.5 million Euros while he was Defense Minister, as well as the one that Environment Minister Oliver Dulic's company was doing business with 70 budgetary institutions and that the Defense Ministry had paid 850.000 Euros for "free" software.

Pistaljka was also very active in the protection of whistleblowers and helped the most famous Serbian wistleblower Goran Milosevic to get a full time job.
