JOURNALISTS’ POSSESSIONS SEIZED BY COURT ORDER

Belgrade, May 6, 2013 (Danas) - Former owner and chief editor of the closed Nedeljni Telegraf Momcilo Djorgovic and journalist of the the weekly Vojislava Crnjanski Spasojevic are obliged to pay damages worth of 600.000 RSD with interest to the Deputy President of the Appellate Court Nadezda Mijatovic over the article published seven years ago about illegal construction in Belgrade.

Djorgovic was notified few days ago about the First Basic Belgrade Court administrator coming to make an inventory and seizure of possessions.

Djorgovic has filed a complaint with the Constitutional Court for violation of the human and civil rights to freedom of opinion and expression and freedom of media, guaranteed by the Serbian Constitution.
