PROSECUTION DENIED CAUSING DELAY

Belgrade, May 16, 2013 (Beta) - The Republic Public Prosecutor's Office has refused the allegations made on Thursday that it had caused delay in enforcement of judgment in the case led against Velimir Ilic, president of Nova Srbija political party.

The Prosecution claims it has requested the document for assessing the grounds for Ilic's initiative for protection of legality. The document was processed by Prosecutor's Office within days and has been returned to the prosecution in Novi Sad.

According to the source of the Beta news agency, the Prosecutor's Office has denied Ilic's request and returned the document to Novi Sad so there the claims that it has not acted according to the law are ungrounded.
