VUCIC VS DINKIC

Belgrade, May 24, 2013 (Danas, Tanjug, B92) - Aleksandar Vucic is determined to keep his promise to abolish TV subscription fee, but the Government say the state has no money to finance public broadcasters RTS and RTV.

This issue has caused disagreement between Vucic and the Finance Minister Dinkic, Danas reports.

According to the daily, following the talks between the representatives of the Culture Ministry and the minister of finance, it was concluded that there were not enough funds for public broadcasters in the budget, so the concept of preserving RTV fee in some form was considered again.

Danas reports that it has been confirmed by the Serbian Government that the budget funds are limited and that they do not foresee financing of public service broadcasters. No one at the Ministry of Finance has been available to comment.

Disagreement between the finance minister Dinkic and the first deputy Prime Minister Vucic is not the first one, the daily says.
