NO MONEY FOR RTS IN THE BUDGET

Belgrade, May 24, 2013 (Blic) - TV fee will be abolished, said the first Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic on his Twitter and Facebook profiles yesterday.

He claimed that he would keep his promise given to citizens of Serbia, denying the fact that the RTS and RTV would still be financed from the TV subscription fee due to a shortage of money in the state budget that would be used for financing these public broadcasters.

Member of the working group for drafting media laws Slobodan Kremenjak said that the Assistant Culture Minister Dragan Kolarevic repeated the statement Minister Petkovic had made about not being sure whether there would be enough money in the budget for RTS and RTV.
