RTK 2 AIRS PROGRAM IN SERBIAN

Pristine, June 4, 2013 (Tanjug) - The Radio Television Kosovo has started broadcasting program on channel 2 that will be mainly in Serbian.

Channel 2 is very important as its audience comes predominantly from the Serbian community that has been deprived of regular information, save for a few private channels. The program that will be broadcast on this channel will be entirely in the service of the Serbian community, said the RTK director Mentor Salja to Pristine media.

Director of the RTK 2 Zarko Joksimovic said that this was not only Serbian television, or, as they called it the law, Television RTK2, program in Serbian language, as this TV would air the programs in Bosnian, Turkish as well as Romanian language.

Joksimovic announced that new investigative series should be included in the program as of September, together with documentaries and programs preserving cultural identity and language of communities living on Kosovo.

RTK2 currently employs around 50 members of staff, including 10 journalists, several editors, camera operators, picture editors and others.
