KOLAREVIC: RTS FEE ENDS IN OCTOBER

Belgrade, June 14, 2013 (Danas) - Assistant Culture and Media Minister Dragan Kolarevic said yesterday that the TV subscription fee for RTS would stop in October, when the public service broadcaster was likely to be financed with the state budget funds.

Kolarevic also said that the state would most likely continue to finance Tanjug news agency even in 2014, adding that the Serbian Parliament could adopt media laws in September.

The Draft Law on Public Information provides for the budget financing of media until January 1, 2014.
