SABIC: KEY DECISIONS OF CONSTITUTIONAL COURT ON CLASSIFIED DATA

Belgrade, July 13, 2013 (Danas) - The Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection Rodoljub Sabic said yesterday that two decisions, recently brought by the Constitutional Court, regarding the right whose exercise is protected by the Commissioner, were very important for the realization of the constitutionally and legally guaranteed human rights.

The first decision was reached acting on the constitutional complaint of TV B92 relating to the right to free access to information of public importance and classified data, while the second was regarding the Motion for assessing the constitutionality of the provisions of the Law on Electronic Communications, jointly filed by the Ombudsman and the Commissioner, says in the statement of the Commissioner's Office.

Sabic expressed his content over the fact that the decisions of the Constitutional court had affirmed the views, which the Commissioner had supported since the beginning of implementation of the Law on Free Access to Information of Public Importance and the Law on Personal Data Protection.
