MONTENEGRIN MODEL FOR RTS AND RTV

Belgrade, July 18, 2013 (Beta, RTV) - The Assistant Culture and Media Minister Dragan Kolarevic announced today that the new model of budget financing of public services would be known by Wednesday, July 24.

Addressing the journalists after the session of the Culture and Information Committee in the Serbian Parliament, Kolarevic also said that several models of financing were discussed, like the model in which certain percentage of budget funds would be allocated for public services.

"I hope the draft laws on public services and electronic media would be presented on the Ministry's website by Wednesday, which would mark the beginning of the public discussion that needs to last no less than 21 days", Kolarevic said.

"One of the models of financing of public service broadcasters will surely be the one based on the Law on Public Service Broadcasters in Montenegro, approved by the EU", the Assistant Minister said.
