TANJUG AS GOVERNMENT’S BUREAU

Belgrade, July 19, 2013 (Dnevnik) - The Culture and Media Assistant Minister Dragan Kolarevic announced today that the new model of budget financing of public services would be known by Wednesday, July 24.

Kolarevic also said that there was a concept of transforming the state news agency Tanjug into the Government's communications bureau, mirroring the German model.

"The idea is to transform Tanjug into the Government's information bureau that would collect and distribute news. The law providing for this solution may be adopted very soon. At that point, part of the agency would most likely be privatized, shares would be divided up, and as such, Tanjug could enter the market", Kolarevic explained.
