TIJANIĆ: WE NEED 80 MILLION FROM THE BUDGET

Belgrade, August 6, 2013 (Politika) - The Culture and Media Assistant Minister Dragan Kolarevic announced a solution to the problem of financing the RTS and RTV Vojvodina - they would be on the state budget for the next two years, although a draft law on public media service is not yet known to the public. Therefore the law is far from the adoption in parliament, says the Aleksandar Tijanic, director of RTS.

- For RTS there is good and bad solution. Good - if RTS receive from the budget 80 million per year. On this amount RTS would add around 15 to 17 million in revenue from advertising, which is enough to prepare the RTS for the digitalization, as well as to prepare the social program for a thousand people that are redundant labor. But if we receive 60 million per year that amount would not be enough for the digitalization, and if we get 50 million, that would be some kind of working in forced labor conditions - explains Alexander Tijanic, director of RTS.
