THE LAWS ON PUBLIC SERVICES AND ELECTRONIC MEDIA PUBLISHED

Belgrade, August 8, 2013 (Politika) - The Ministry of Culture and Media published yesterday on its website the Draft law on electronic media and the Draft law on public services on which the public debates will be started. The draft law on public services stipulates that there are two public services in Serbia - RTS and RTV, and instead of subscription fee, introduces their funding from the budget of Serbia.

A new Law on electronic media is supposed to replace the current Broadcasting Law, and with this draft, among other things, the jurisdiction and authority of the RBA and the obligations of broadcasters were provided.
