RBA: NO ONE GOT THE FREQUENCY

Belgrade, August 9, 2013 (Beta) - The RBA Council will call a new competition for allocating the frequency of the former TV Avala since none of the candidates applying for the frequency has been given a sufficient number of votes.

At the session held today, the Council has decided in a secret voting to allocate the frequency neither to TV Nova nor to TV Kopernikus.

Chairperson of the RBA Council told journalists that five votes were needed to allocate the frequency, but that TV Nova had only two, and Kopernikus only three votes of the Council members.

According to him, four members of the RBA Council believed none of the applicants would be able to respond to the needs of the public.

"We believe we have made the decision in the interest of the Serbian citizens", Porfirije said.
