RATEL: WE ARE FILING APPEAL

Belgrade, August 14, 2013 (B92) - RATEL has announced filing an apeal immediately on the decision of the court to pay, together with the RBA, damages of 650 million dinars to SOS channel.

RATEL also said it expected the first instance verdict of the court would be revoked and finally the lawsuit filed by SOS channel dismissed as ungrounded, the regulator said in the statement.

The Commercial Court in Belgrade ruled that RBA and RATEL were liable to compensation of 650 million dinars worth of damages inflicted by allocating unusable frequency that was already belonging to the national Romanian broadcaster.
