RBA RESPONSE TO SOS LAWSUIT

Belgrade, August 13, 2013 (RBA) - The Republic Broadcasting Agency (RBA) has learned about the verdict of the Commercial Court in Belgrade in the media, which the court has proclaimed in the lawsuit of SOS sports channel against the regulator. Given the circumstances in which the Agency has not yet been officially notified of the final verdict, and if the reports of the media turn out to be true, the RBA will surely file an appeal, it was said in the statement of this regulator.

The RBA is legally obliged to allocate every radio frequency from the Frequency Allocation Plan in an open competition. Once the license is issued, it is in RBA's competence to monitor the broadcaster's program, but not to control technical parameters or coordinate international broadcasting sector, the RBA stated.
