MINISTRY OF CULTURE: 1.36 BILLION DINARS FOR PROJECT FINANCING

11. 03. 2014 (Blic) - The Ministry of Culture and Information announced today the successfull completion of the competitions for funding of projects in the fields of culture and information.

Competitions in 26 thematic areas were completed in record time and 1.36 billion dinars will be allocated, nearly 15 percent more than last year.

The selection panels made their decisions on 8 March, within the prescribed deadline of 45 days after the deadline for submission of program and projects.

Five-member selection panels made decisions on 3,483 project proposals. The panels were composed of representatives of cultural institutions, universities, research institutes, artistic and journalists' associations, media associations, public service broadcasters and regulatory bodies.

All the activities of the selection panels were fully transparent and open to the public.

The Ministry of Culture and Information expressed its gratitude to members and secretaries of the selection panels and, at the same time, wishes all beneficiaries of the funds received at the competition a lot of success in the implementation of projects and programs.
