SERBIAN JOURNALISTS IN THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT

Brussels, 1.4.2014 (Tanjug, RTV) - A panel dedicated to Serbian media will be held today afternoon in the European Parliament. It will gather representatives of journalists' associations and the Serbian government.


Speakers at the panel in the Foreign Policy Committee of the European Parliament will be: the chief negotiator for the accession of the Republic of Serbia to the EU Tanja Miščević, assistant minister of culture Saša Mirković, president of the Journalists' Association of Serbia (UNS) Ljiljana Smajlović and the vice president of the Independent Journalists' Association of Serbia (NUNS) Dragan Janjić.

They will be joined by Gordana Igrić from the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network and Alison Meston, director of the NGO "Press Freedom".

The panel will be chaired by Jelko Kacin, the European Parliament rapporteur for Serbia, who is the organizer of the panel.
