RBA TO DISCUSS COMPETITION COMPLAINTS ON 14 APRIL

03. 04. 2014 (Danas; by B. Cvejic ) - RBA Council will consider complaints made by Nova.rs and Kopernikus for the allotment of the national frequency at a meeting scheduled for 14 April, although the deadline is 23 April.

Well-informed sources speculate that the RBA will, however, make a decision and grant a national television frequency to Nova.rs television.

RBA Council Deputy President Goran Karadžić points out for "Danas" that complaints by Nova.rs and Kopernikus are currently being analyzed by the legal department, after which a report will be submitted to the members of the Council.

"If at the meeting at least one of these complaints is accepted, a vote for national frequency allocation will again be organized," said Karadžić.

The RBA has not granted a frequency to neither of the two interested broadcasters in January because an even number of votes by RBA Council members was cast.

This was the second competition for the national frequency in the past year.

Only Nova.rs and Kopernikus took part in the competition in the middle of 2013, but the frequency was not assigned then either.
