DUNJA MIJATOVIĆ: HACKING ATTACK ON OSCE UNACCEPTABLE

Vienna, 4.6.2014 (Tanjug, Blic) - The website of the Organization for Security and Cooperation (OSCE) could not be accessed this morning due to technical problems, the organization stated on its Twitter account.

The OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Dunja Mijatović wrote on her Twitter account around noon that the reason is hacking of the website and assessed it as unacceptable.

She also said on her Twitter account that the attack is an "attempt to limit freedom of speech".

The attack is a DDOS one, charaterized by overwhelming an Internet page with an excessive number of specially construed requests until the server clogs up or slows down to the extent that visitors cannot access the page.
