ŠABIĆ: PRE-DISMISSAL WARNING TO JOURNALIST UNACCEPTABLE

Belgrade, 15.8.2014 (Danas, by D.D.) - Commissioner for Information of Public Importance, Rodoljub Šabić, stated yesterday that it is unacceptable that Snežana Ćerman, journalists of Radio Television Kragujevac, suffers negative consequences because she used the rights guaranteed by the Constitution and the Law on Free Access to Information of Public Importance.


In the letters to presidents of the Journalists' Assocation of Serbia (UNS) and the Independent Journalists' Assocation of Serbia (NUNS), Šabić pointed to the case of journalist Ćerman who received a pre-dismissal warning because she submitted an access to information request to „EPS Snabdevanje" requesting information on electricity debts of the television that employs her.
